What tire pressures are you running?

Hello all. I put my OEM (22”) summer rims / tires over the weekend and inflated them to 45 lbs all around as per the door jam sticker. It rides OK but what pressures are others running and if different pressure front to rear, how do the sensors set to measure that? I can’t find the screen to set the baseline pressures when I looked for that screen on Saturday.

thank you.

I run mine at 37 psi, but yesterday about 20 😂.
All fixed now.

Thanks Gearfx…I did find it - set to 35 and “summer” ..rides great and no amber lights. I appreciate you pointing me into right direction….and I will say it again…I just don’t understand why they don’t sell thousands of these vehicles…size - performance- features - style … for the price??…solid value imho.

Since I've had 3 F-Paces I have gone through a few sets of tires. I've found that the summers don't last very long for the most part. I get about 20k to 30k out of them most of the time. Maybe a little more since I've slowed down a bit as I get older. For winters, I've used Blzzacks and Scorpion Winters and those do better I've found getting 50k out of them is doable if you don't run them out of season too much. They lose tread fast and get a bit squishy when the weather gets warmer. Most of the time though one of the winters gets a nail or something I can't fix and I end up changing them all out before I get the full life out of them.

All seasons are the best for the most part but due to my semi aggressive driving habits, although I'm slowing down in my elder age, I tend to get more than 50k out of them.

Excellent data points, exactly what I was hoping to learn. Thank you for sharing!

I find that the summer tires do noticeable handle better than the all seasons in the warmer months. In fall and spring, the PS4 All Seasons I'm using now are marginally better than the summers. Keep in mind in the Pa area in fall and spring, cold temps can get down to the 30s, but most in the 40s. summers don't like the cold and the roads hold that cold longer in the fall and spring due to the lower level of the sun. So I normally change the summers to the All seasons around Halloween and I run the all seasons till probably the end of April most of the time.

While the summer Pirelli Scorpions handle pretty well I think their sidewalls are a bit thicker. The PS4 Summers, which I have not yet had on the F-Pace, but used for multiple seasons on my Accord and Infiniti M45 ride pretty well in the summer. The handle incredible. I need to wear out the scorpions I got with the 21 before getting them though.

Thanks for the feedback. I suppose since alternating the tires each season, you haven't bumped into the maximum tread life/limit in either yet (summer vs. all-season wear speed)?

Did you find the screen? On the earlier model years it was in the instrument cluster (you use the steering wheel buttons to access and navigate the menu, where the present pressures and light load option is available to select). Every time I start my car, it says something like "Tires set to light load pressures."

haven't done a direct comparison but I presume the summer rubber makes a pretty decent difference in terms of handling and feel. the p zeros are jaguar specific so there's some actual development that went into the tires specific to the vehicle. haven't noticed excessive wear so far. definitely a true summer soft compound though, as the tires pick up a lot of grit and make a lot of noise in the wheel wells with any loose gravel etc.

I run scorpion winters which actually do a pretty good job in the colder months, but the summers are definitely more communicative/less mushy feeling. my guess is the scorpion all seasons would be somewhere in between.
Thanks. I'm considering switching to the summer rubber, but wonder how many fewer miles I'd get out of a set (vs. the all-seasons).

Very cool, thanks for confirming! How do you like the summer rubber compared with the Pirelli all-seasons? Big difference, or hardly noticeable? Is the treadwear considerably worse?

BTW, to keep this post on-topic, I also run the 35 PSI all around for "light load." Anything over 40 seems to negatively affect the ride quality and harshness over bumps, driveway apron lips, grates, etc.

I ordered summers as well when I ordered my 21. My 19 Stock Jaguar SVR wheels were not on the 19 when I totaled it, my after Market Ace Alloys were with Winter tires. So that is why I'm lucky enough to have two sets of SVR wheels. My 2019 was ordered with all season Pirellis and that is what was on those wheels. I had snows on the Ace Alloys.

Like Matt. I run 35 all around, year round with the winters and the summers. I have two sets of SVR Rims from 2019 and 2021 which I use with the summers and winters. Right now I have the winters mounted with the 2021 rims they are Michelin PS4s All Seasons. Ride really nice at that pressure and handle very well there also. I have the stock Pirelli Summers on the 2021 Rims which will be mounted within the next couple weeks. I need to run the tread off them a bit before going to the PS4s Summer setup. The Pirellis are a bit rougher ride but handle well.
