Which engine variant is it? If it’s the 2.0D Ingenium it’s a special (with a ph) engine and requires a lot of care, attention and far far more regular servicing 5,000 miles oil change rather than 21,000 that JLR would have you believe. You also need to ensure regular long trips of 40mins above 40mph to perform DPF regen, the diesel is not suited to being a Chelsea tractor.

key watch outs:
Listen to engine any rattle stop don’t drive, timing chain may be on way out get it towed and looked at fast. Same goes for any whine at all from turbo.
When oil changes are done keep an eye on oil dilution levels and more than usual swarf levels.
Another good terms is periodically check tailpipe when car is cold with finger or rag to look for soot levels, the engine should be burning off all soot unless DPF is cracked.
