Leather Seat Issues

I have a similar issue with my S seats, but more in the middle of the seat and not quite as pronounced (yet). It's most noticeable after just getting out of the seat. The cushion does seem to regain its shape (leaving less of an indent) after a while of getting out of the seat I don't wear a wallet in my back pocket, but if you do, it might be contributing to it.

Also, I have the exact same wrinkling on my side bolsters as you have. In fact, the car (with 15 miles) was delivered to me like that. I questioned the dealer. A few people in management at the dealership reviewed and concluded it was normal. My response was: "Normal? For 15 miles? What's it going to look like after 15,000 miles?" However, I decided to accept delivery anyway. Also, for whatever it's worth, a pamphlet on the leather was included with my car from Jaguar, which did mention something about it being normal for the natural leather to develop some lines/wrinkling.

Speaking of leather, I wanted to mentioned that I purchased Griot's Leather Care Spray and used it on my FP about two weeks ago. It lightly cleans, conditions, and is very easy to use. Most importantly, it dries clear and doesn't leave a shiny residue like many leather sprays do. And it works perfectly on the perforated seats - doesn't clog the holes. I've used quite a few spray cleaners in the past, including a 2-in-1 product from Chemical Guys, but this is by far the best spray product I have ever used. I used it on the steering wheel with good results as well.

I doubt they will start replacing seats on all cars with wrinkled seats because it will cost too much. Plus, I can only imagine what the interior would look like after they're done - scuffs on the cheap hard plastic, fingerprints everywhere, etc.

I have under 2k miles and my seat looks exactly the same. Big bubble in the same spot as yours. I noticed mine in the first 200 miles. I don't think its as much the quality of the leather as it is a combination of the quality of the foam in the seat and fitment of the leather over the seat. The fitment should be tighter and the foam should be more dense IMHO.
This is what I think as well.

I highly doubt JLR will be changing the leather or the seats for 2018. Has anyone seen any reports of owners having JLR replace the leather or the seats under warranty because of this issue? I pushed my dealer prior to accepting delivery and got nowhere. They claimed it was "normal." Overall, I doubt there will be many significant changes in 2018 because the car just came out and it sold well. If Jaguar is like other manufacturers, I would expect some noteworthy changes with a mid-cycle refresh in a few years.

I had a different impression of the Macan interior. I sat in a GTS and thought it looked very dated. It was obvious to me that Porsche focused more on performance than designing a state of the art interior. Also, like I said in other threads, I personally view the Macan as more of a feminine vehicle. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but that really doesn't suit me. On a positive note, according to reviews, it seems to handle well and even better than the FP.

EagleJag, I agree the F-Pace interior is more modern looking but the seats on the Macan are more supportive and the leather seems better. Also the leather on the dash and driver surrounding areas on the Macan seem higher quality than the F-Pace. Interesting that you think it is more of a feminine vehicle is that because of the exterior look?
Interesting. I wouldn't be surprised about the Macan having higher quality interior materials. But when I was in it, it was the layout and infotainment system that struck me as a bit dated. And, to answer your question, I mostly see women driving Macans in my area and when I spoke to the Porsche salesman about it, he kinda of laughed and reminded me that there are "some guys" that buy Macans. So it may - depending on who you talk to - have a certain reputation (perhaps, based in part, on the exterior look). But I want to me clear about something. In no way am I knocking any male Macan driver. My point is that I felt the car just wasn't for me. But car preference is personal, so my advice is just to get what you want and be happy with it.

I started this thread and my pictures are on page 1. I brought this issue to Jaguar corporate and on several occasions to my dealer. The dealer has been great about everything but I was told that Jaguar will not even address this or consider it an issue until the vehicle is owned for at least a year. Apparently, this is a very sensitive subject to them but I won't give up. There is no excuse for these seats to look this this after four months and I am not a big guy. I think it might it may also be worse in the seats that are both heated and ventilated cool. Seriously, mine look like they are 10 years old already.
My driver's seat had a wrinkled bolster at 19 miles - before I picked the car up or ever sat in it. My comment to the dealer was if it looks like this at 19 miles, what's it going to look like after 1,000 miles or 5,000 miles?! If it was a purchase instead of a lease, I may not have accepted delivery.

I have no experience with Luxtek but would assume that that is NOT the result of normal wear and tear. I would take it to the dealer and request that it be repaired to your satisfaction or replaced under warranty.

It's a known "defect" for many S seats. But I think you're likely out of luck since Jaguar considers it normal wear and tear.

I objected to the driver's seat of my car at delivery (with like 10 miles on it) because the outside bolster was all creased up. Neither the dealership nor some regional cat who was in town at the time budged, so I caved and accepted delivery. Two years later and it's worse but not by very much.

You'll get used to it after a while and possibly distracted by other problems with the car so it won't bother you as much.
