Diesel owners Have you ever seen this warning?

Welp, looks like it's my turn for this warning. Off to the dealer after work today.

It's the same DEF that's been in there for multiple fills, so I'm assuming a faulty sensor or a software upgrade will occur instead.
I got this warning twice and cause was a faulty sensor. Both times warranty covered it but I have less than 18K to go under the warranty.

As I posted earlier I got this message for the second time last Friday when I scheduled service appointment. I got in and out within an hour. Here is what was done.

This happened to me again this morning during my commute. This is a second time this occurred to me and I actually forgot about it until I read this thread. https://www.fpaceforum.com/forum/605089-post12.html
Difference this time in my case is that I am not low on DEF and it's not as frowningly cold outside as it was when I got this message first time around. I have always used Blue DEF from the closest store or gas station I happened to be near by when I get low DEF warning.

I scheduled service appointment for the next Tuesday.

@NewToCats
It had a plethora of codes stored including incorrect dosing, level, and incorrect DEF composition. None of which were true. No hardware was replaced but software updates were applied. DEF is full and reads 5217 miles to empty and for the moment we are back in gear....

I also asked to have the latest ICTP update added, and basically was told we currently aren't doing any updates to that until we know they are dependable... SO we will stick with 2.5 a while longer. At least it mostly works....
Thanks!

I'll let you know what my dealer says.. but mine was counting down to zero and my dealer say if it hit zero and we knew about it, we'd be liable for charges since we didn't heed the warning. Also it is in the 40's, tank was 3/4 full and evidently the DEF tank really was appx 1/2 full.

Something is goofy with the DEF sensor both quality and quantity. I'm not sure if this throws a code ,but the CEL was on.....
Sounds good to me. Please tag me in your reply since I don't check this message board every day nor I read every thread and every post. However in this case I don't want to miss it.

I checked my records and received 'Incorrect Diesel Exhaust Fluid quality detected' close to 700 miles ago, giving me warning that car won't start after 249 miles. Even warning message went away after refueling I was wondering if there is a chance that car will just shut down after 249 miles. Clearly it was not the case. I am marking it down as oddball non-reoccurring glitch impacted by following factors
- it was in single digits in the morning when I got the message;
- def levels were low (I got def level low message literally next morning - I expected that);
- fuel tank as at 10% .

I got exactly the same warning for like 10 miles two days ago. It disappeared after I refueled - I was heading to the filling station when I got the this warning message. It has not come back since.

Another thing what I knew was that I was getting low on DEF as well - as a matter of fact I got a warning about DEF level this morning and added 2.5 gallons shortly after.

Also outside temps were around 10F in the morning when I got the warning message. Since warning message with mileage countdown disappeared I thought somehow all three factors were correlated
