For the last week I have not been able to start my F-PACE (2019) using the Jaguar Remote (v2.10.1) app. In fact, none of my journeys are being logged and the app no longer seesm to be communicating with the car. If I tap on Remote in the app, I get a message that says:

VEHICLE ASLEEP
Vehicle is currently in low power mode due to inactivity. Manual vehicle start will restore remote features.

We'll, I've started the car manually numerous times and the issue persists. Vehicle has not been idle for more than a day. I don’t seem to have any power warnings on the panel.

Any idea what this could be?

The car goes into sleep mode after about 4 days. Normally, it resets after the first drive.
To try and reconnect the TCU to the servers, this procedure sometimes works.
Drive the car for a couple of miles and pull over in an area with a cellular connection:
1. Press and hold the “Optimized Roadside Assistance” button. (on the overhead panel).
2. After a couple of seconds the button will flash amber quickly. Continue holding the button for 10 seconds until the button flashes at a slower rate.
3. Release the Optimized Assistance button which will continue to flash slowly for a short period of time.
4. After two seconds the light will go out completely.
5. At this point the connection is being reset

I had the same issue with my SVR when I went away on business. I use the Watch for most access to the car and don't use the fobs regularly. I ended up simply unlocking the car with the fob and starting it with the fob and sure enough after doing that I could access the car with the remote app again. That solved my problem which had lasted about 2 weeks. I solved it right before I was taking it in for my 2nd oil change and told them I had that issue. With that said, skykings procedure may also do the trick. it's the same procedure I had to go through with my wife's F-Type to get it to connect to the app for the first time.

Just to clarify, the remote app has a wake up timer.
If you leave the car for an extended period (like at the airport) you can schedule the car to wake-up and enable the remote app functions.
Select the more icon in the app, then vehicle settings, enable wake up timer, set the date and time and then apply.
That will then have the car ready to accept remote commands at that time.

I'm aware of that Skyking it wouldn't work in my case. The car worked perfectly fine with the watch as my key starting, all functions, but you couldn't access the car from the app. That was the issue I was seeing. It went on for a bit until I figured, let me try the normal key and see what would happen.

Update:

skyking's solution worked. Following those steps reestablished communicaiton with the vehicle immedialty. But that was half of the solution. I was still getting the VEHICLE ASLEEP message. Car says it was armed when it was not. App also showed me where I was parked 10 days ago not where I was at that moment. Took a drive and the journey was not being recorded either. So I simplly deleted the Jaquar Remote app and reinstalled it. Everything seems to be working properly now. Even the journeys I took when it wasn't working in past 10 days now show up.

Thanks!

Guess I'm the unlucky one - I've tried all the above on my '21 SVR to no avail. App still says the car is asleep with "last updated 2 months ago". Tried resetting the connection inside the car and I've deleted and reloaded the app several times. I've also tried just logging in and out of the app but it still won't refresh the connection from the last connection 2 months ago. The car has even been in for an oil change and software updates within that time frame and it still hasn't refreshed the connection.

Sigh...it's -22C today.

[Update]:
Persistence paid off. On the 4th attempt to reset using the Roadside Assistance button, it finally worked and stopped blinking after a few seconds of doing its fast/slow blink program. The first 3 times the light just kept blinking for several minutes. App refreshed and connected to the car seconds later.

Starting 2 days ago I can't get the InControl Remote App to locate my car and allow me to remote start it. It says the vehicle is in sleep mode. I have tried re-installing the App and checked accessing the app when sitting in a running car. Any suggestions before I add contact my dealership?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts

if your vehicle is a MY 2017 then your original 5 year subscription has expired so I am guessing that is what you are saying you paid $630 for which is absurd as when mine expired in December I renewed it online for $119. Now let's move on to troubleshooting is the icon for the remote app you are using Red or Blue? They recently changed the app the new one has a blue icon and the red one no longer functions properly. If you are using the Blue icon app try deleting the app and reinstalling if you are using the red app go to the app store and get the blue one . Have you logged into your account online from a computer to make sure the money you paid actually renewed your subscription? Has the battery in your vehicle ever been replaced? Do you have more than a quarter tank of gas in the vehicle?

after this reply I checked my app and it too was telling me it was asleep and manual start would be needed so I closed app, went outside and started vehicle then came inside opened app and it now works as expected. I see that you already tried this and it didn't work so now my next question is did you buy the vehicle used? I know many people who bought a used Jaguar have had issues as the vehicle was registered to the original owners account and nobody can seem to figure out how to get it removed from original owner to add it to their own. I'm adding a link for you to log in to your account in case this is not one you already tried My Jaguar InControl
