There must be some of you who have reached or about to reach mileage that have worn out the OEM Tires and they have or about to need replacement.

I have the 20" OEM Goodyear tires and am curious to know what type of mileage these tires will go before being worn out. Mine are still very low mileage.

Not interested in other sizes or other 20" inch OEM tires for that start your own thread. Please don't clutter this one up.

Even if not worn out if you have these tires with substantial mileage please respond and advise how much tread life is left. Brand new I believe is usually about 10/32 and at 7/32 you have about 70% left, at 2/32 worn out but I would not drive past 4/32.

Good idea to invest in a tire depth gauge they are inexpensive and available at any auto parts store.

If you have replaced or are thinking about it what tires did you replace with and or are considering? Remember you should replace with an XL Load tire and preferably a W speed rating for exact spec replacement or you could drop down one speed rating to a V with many choices.

There are off brands like Sailun or Nexus that have exact spec replacements at very good price points or you go high end with the OEM Goodyear tire available at Tire Rack and or Michelin and or Continental, etc.

The off brands have cheap carcasses and are prone to going out of round, bulging, rapid tread wear, and the like. Used car lots use them on older cars to say " Hey it has new tires!" Just to move them off the lots. Not worthy on an F Pace.
Mine came with 20" Michelins but they are lower grade Michelins. If I get 30K I will be surprised. I will replace with higher line Michelins or Conti DWS06. Also even though I don't want to.. I will prob opt for winter tires for this car. After seeing body damage and the ensuing issues people are having to fix correctly.... If I can save one accident with winter tires it will be money well spent.....

I replaced my 20" Goodyears at 1,000 miles when I determined that I didn't want to get into an accident in the winter. I purchased the Conti DWS06s, and the difference in performance in snow, rain, and ice is like night and day. I believe the Contis have higher treadware (560) and speed (Y) ratings than the Goodyears. Having driven on the Contis since February I have nothing bad at all to say about them. I highly doubt you'll find a better all season replacement for this car, particularly living in an area where snow performance is necessary.

Also, I personally don't think you'll need snow tires living in Toronto. Where I live we get much more snow than Toronto, and the AWD system, coupled with the Contis, provided for solid handling in adverse weather. Of course, if you don't live in an urban or suburban area and instead live in the middle of nowhere where they don't plow frequently, then I would suggest winter tires!

And I'm sure now that I said all that I will get into a massive accident in the snow this winter.

At a little over than 25000 miles my GY OEM tires need to be replaced soon. Probably this upcoming month when it goes in for an inspection and its annual service. Did you go to your dealer to have the Continental tires put on? Did you purchase from a tire site or from your dealer?

I usually just replace the tires from the dealer so I am new to the whole purchase a different tire thing.

I had the dealer replace my P-Zeros with the Conti DSW06 at time do delivery. They ordered them and installed them. I would ask to see if you could just order from Tire Rack and have the tires delivered to the dealer and then just pay for mounting. They may not do that. The Chevy dealers that serviced my Corvette when I had it had no issues doing this.

At the rate I’m putting miles on the F-Pace the Contis may last longer than the warranty.

I'm a big fan of the Conti DWS -- had an older version of the tire on my wife's gen 1 Acura RDX with the torque vectoring SH-AWD and they provided exceptional handling.

Also a big fan of tire rack, but usually find a good local independent shop that partners with tire rack for mounting. You have known pricing and service. Once I got a dealer to price match the mounted price of Tire Rack, which worked too. But usually my non-Jag dealers have wanted 20-30% more.

Hey, Jman, I ordered my tires from tirerack.com and used their website to find an authorized local installer. There were a ton of places so I poured through Google and Yelp reviews and found a good place. You want to do some due diligence on the installer, as the last thing you want is for the installer to damage your rims during installation.

I also contacted the Jag dealer to price out the new tires. My recollection is that the cost of the tires would have been the same but the Jaguar installation costs were way, way more.

Also, I was satisfied with the tirerack experience and would recommend tirerack in a heartbeat. About a month after getting the tires, I got a nail in the sidewall of one of the tires, which meant that the tire had to be replaced. Tirerack made the warranty claim so easy. They sent a brand new tire to the shop free of charge right away.

Can I ask why did you take the P-Zero tries off, they are the best performance tires made.

Living in the NE I didn't want to do the summer/all-season (or winter) tire shuffle twice a year and we picked up the car in January. We only have the one vehicle so wanted a great all around tire for our location. The DWS06 has performed amazingly to date, though I never drove the car on the P-Zero.

I've been swapping out each season. I do like the Contis, but nothing beats the Pirelli P-Zeros for warm (and wet) weather performance. Gorgon, the P-Zeros are amazing even in the rain, actually better than the Contis in the rain. But once the temperature drops south of 40 F, put the Contis on. Below 30F and you'll go ice-skating with P-Zeroes.

I'm surprised that when you first got your F-Pace S you didn't take it out on the PA Autobahn at least once with a P-Zero on all four paws. If you ever decide to crank it to 150 mph, do it with the P-Zeroes. I don't think the Contis are rated for that kind of speed.

Contis are rated to 156 MPH while the Goodyear only 142.

The P-Zeros are rated for 186 MPH, but the car is electronically limited to 150mph / 250Kpm

Dealer gave me credit for the tires against the purchase and installation of the Contis. Didn't have a chance to drive on them. That said, the Contis are W rated to 168mph.

The OEM 20” Goodyear F1 on my car are W rated (168 MPH). Don’t think the manufacturer can sell a car with tires that have a lower rating than the cars max speed.

Hm, on the tirerack website when you go to the OEM tire section it says they're rated at 149. Having said that I do not see on tirerack an option for W rating... only H or V

Just looked at Tire Rack. I see the OEM Goodyear’s and they are W rated. Way overpriced at $340.99. I’m not sure which tire you’re seeing. Eagle F1 Asymmetric AT SUV-4X4 255/50R20 XL 109W 240 AA A. J designation. Just checked my garage and that’s exactly what’s on mine.
