I'm curious to see a side to side comparison of what lights up versus what shouldn't light up.
I don't either. I guess the challenge is what happens when you drop off for service? I'm going to be taking mine in for 8k mile oil change soon (I do every 8k vs 16) and will request that they not perform the recall but not sure we'll have a choice if the lights violate U.S. spec. Will see. This annoys me as well. I don't want them changed to be honest. I guess I can ignore he notice.
Post a picture of your tail lights lit up, and I'll post mine(not covered by the recall). Let's see the difference.I don't either. I guess the challenge is what happens when you drop off for service? The link you provided said nothing about brighter lights but rather some ‘21’s may have a lack of illumination in the rear assemblySo if you have a 2021 model year or newer you most likely have the brighter UK spec tail lights which do not comply with US federal regulations. I really like the tail lights and don’t want them swapped out. That being said, can we refuse the recall and instruct the dealer not to replace them? There’s absolutely zero chance of getting pulled over for something like this.
I like how you rearranged your badges!
Same here. Went in last week. My build plaque shows 3/21. Came back that all was good no repair needed. Also got no information on how/what they checked.Just picked up my SVR from a mid-interval oil change and they reviewed the vehicle for this recall. No action was taken on my 21. Asked advisor what specifically they were looking for but couldnt get much more than what’s listed in recall. In any event my tails are fine and we’re not replaced.
