I guess my point is that the dealership needs to fix it because they are Jaguar's representative. At least that is my take. Jaguar has no ability to fix anything without the dealership.

I have the same problem.
Did you solve it?

The inside trim under the seatbelt had come loose and allowed the seatbelt to slip into the resulting crack. This allowed the seatbelt to hang up. We looked up under the cover where the seatbelt comes out and you could see it wasn't right and that's how we got the dealer to fix the problem.

Ive seen on multi-threads people are having a similar issue to myself with the back seats on my F-PACE 2019 not retracting. The dealer (Beadles Southend, UK) is saying operationally they are working, so they are not touching it. I know, they know, it's a design fault but not claiming it to be. Jaguar is aware of this issue with other F-PACE's presenting similar issues but hasn't recalled this model.

So im suck with a car at present, with the side windows seat in the rear useable due to the confidence of the seat belt. To add, i have a four-year-old who wouldn't understand how to play with the seat belt to get it to retract.
Im going to raise a report with DVSA In the UK. The dealer has raised the issue with Jaguar but that's going to come back with silence. It feels a bit like Boeing knowing there was an issue with the MCAS system, not to the same extent. But cooperate greed over safety.

If anyone could advise me on how they got their issue resolved, or how they took the next steps it would really help me.

Is there a video demonstrating this problem? Is it common to all F-Paces?

I'm getting my back from jaguar dealers tomorrow, as they don't want to know. . Bottom line. I will take a recording and post it on here. I do have heated seats and a madiern sound system in the back. But I would urge everyone to check there seat belts. Don't just check it once pull them out and across a few times.

I just can't believe the lack of responsibility. certain specs are not working correctly.

If anyone could help me, I would appreciate your advice as I know this is going to go on for ever unless someone has got a response from jaguar before.

Sorry, the last was attach a photo not a video. If you know how to post a video on You Tube you can create a link or, if you use a file sharing site. You are correct MP4's are not valid files for this site.

F pace seat belt not retracting video. Any advice or help on the matter would be appriciated. I just don't feel safe enough to put my four year old son on those seat.

Exactly the same issue. Jag did a call out to us. Tried to blame child seat, child height (7year old) until I replicated the issue as a 6ft 2 adult. If you reach across and then sit back the belt does not retract.

Still have the same issue, they don't give a shit. When someone gets hurt they will do something. We have enough evidence of the forum now to proves its a design fault. I just hope they come to there sense a fix it before someone does. The only way to really take a stance is to never buy a jaguar again, that what's im telling everyone. there a moral obligation to this and they are not listening. all about money.

has anyone that can successfully replicate the issue tried to remove the plastic piece at the top of the seat to see if that is catching it? Has anyone had issues with it in the middle seat?

My local Jag garage described is a design fault and known issue, I look forward trying to get that in writing from them. Suspect we'll enter denial stage at that point.
Described as the "lug" that the seatbelt feeds around not being long enough, so when anyone leans to one side - for example to pick something up, the belt then doesn't retract.

It's a joke, how they cannot see this as a risk. As I said to someone else on another post. I will never buy a jaguar again. That the only way to move forward. I been telling everyone not to from my personal experience.

I have the same issue on a 2018 f pace and decided to have a look into it as by the feed I thought Jaguar would not do anything. When you look between the seatbelt and the plastic trim you will see a curved metal clip. This is the issue. On the driver side rear seat I found that the seatbelt feed under this but on the passenger side it went about so at some time it had migrated over the clip ( maybe use of car seat). My solution was to get a wall paper scraper or flat blades instrument and insert into through the gap in the plastic making sure to angle the blade to push the seat belt away from the metal clip. While hold the tool with slight pressure allow the belt to retract and this should drop the belt under the clip. Check from good side to side with the issue. hope this helps
