Well, not an owner yet I guess. I'm taking delivery on a white R-Sport on Friday.

I've been lurking for the past couple weeks to learn as much as I can before picking up the new car. Lots of great info on here - many thanks to all you contributing!

I'm coming from a Lexus NX200T. Great ride. Not enough power. I'm hoping the F-Pace fits the bill.

I'll post pics after I pick it up! :) Cheers!

Congratulations. Looking forward to photos.
What dealer did you buy from? What model and specs?
Your post title says GTA, but your profile says Barrie!!!! They're not close to each other. What's the story?

Well, there are no Jag dealers in Barrie :) The GTA isn't that far away - we went to Coventry North in Woodbridge. It's less than an hour drive.

Funny enough, I'm so used to going in and out of the GTA, that it doesn't phase me. But anyone living in the GTA that needs to drive to Barrie? It's like asking them to drive to North Bay! :D

Car specs:
Polaris white
Black seats/headliner
22" wheels
Comfort & Convenience Pack
Technolocy Pack
Driver Assist Pack
Heated windshield
Roof rails
Splash guards/mud flaps on all corners
Winter mats & Cargo mat

I think that's it!

I'm a little worried about the weather over the next few weeks. I'm assuming the Pirelli P-Zeros on the 22" wheels will be terrible, even with a small amount of snow. Crossing my fingers and hoping we are done with any snow for the rest of the season!

Congrats!

The 340HP powerplant is more than adequate -- and if you need more, the tuner is available to take it over 400.

I'm in and out of the GTA so often, that I consider myself part of the GTA :) But if anyone in the Toronto area needs to drive to Barrie, it's like asking them to drive to North Bay! I bought the car from Coventry North Jaguar in Woodbridge.

Car specs:
35t R-Sport
Polaris White w/ Jet seats & headliner
Comfort & Convenience Pack
Technology Pack
Driver Assistance Pack
22" Double Helix Wheels
Heated Windshield
Roof Rails
Splash guards
Winter floor mats & cargo cover

I think that's it!

I'm going this afternoon to pick it up. Hopefully the weather holds up over the next few weeks - I don't think the Pirelli P-Zeros on the 22" wheels will be very good in the snow. :)

Yes, I already saw that. I think I'll wait a while before doing any modifications, although 400HP is very tempting. Besides, I have a Fiat Abarth to keep my busy with my mod bug :D

Excellent. You got Adaptive Cruise Control.
I can't tell if that's a question or a statement :D

I haven't tried the cruise control yet, but yes I believe it's Adaptive Cruise Control. I also got the full front bumper/hood wrapped in 3M clear bra. And tinted front windows.

Pretty happy so far!

Did you have it done by the dealer? if not, would love to hear where you had it done.

I don't get mine until July/August, but researching all this stuff now. Haven't decided between xpel and 3M as yet.

Yes, I had the clear bra and tint done by the dealer. Now that you mention it, I assume it's 3M - I didn't really ask what product they used. I just assumed it was 3M :)

If I were you, I would price it out locally to see how much it costs and see if the dealer will match. I've had my other car done after market, and wasn't really happy with the quality. The application done by the dealer is perfect.

It was a compliment. You can tell that you have ACC because your front grille growler emblem is part of a piece of plexiglass which protects the camera behind the grille. Adaptive Cruise Control is excellent. One of the best of the F-Pace's electronic gizmos.

I think that generally the northern limit of the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) is Newmarket a little over halfway to Barrie from the northern border of the City of Toronto or by area code the 416 for the City of Toronto instead if the surrounding communities being the 905.

In any event the GTA keeps expanding like a big fat balloon. They use to call Toronto Hog Town for a good reason other than the fact that it had a number of meat packers.

I am very proud Torontoian, as we call ourselves born and lived here all my 64 years and I don't plan to change that, Go Leafs Go, Go Jays and Go Raptors. As for football we have the Argos in the CFL, almost snagged the Buffalo Bills and that still could happen because a city known primarily for chicken wings is not a prime NFL city.

The dealer uses a third party installer.

I had protection film installed by SRS Tinting on Aimco (Eglinton and Dixie) in Mississauga and they did an excellent job. According to their web site they service many dealerships. The dealerships do get a better price than retail but mark it up so much you pay a lot more for nothing.

They use either 3M XPEL or Sunteck. Went with the XPEL on their recommendation. 3M was the same price, Sunteck a little less. Each installer has their preference if you call around for various supposed reasons.

I would highly recommend them, ask for the same installer that did mine in August if you are going with XPEL, can not recall his name but apparently he is their XPEL Specialist. The owner will remember me just tell him the lawyer with the Silver F Pace that you did in August of this year. I am sure that they have not done many F Paces so they will recall me.

They have packages that are well priced and cover extensive portions of the exterior.

For small extra charges they did custom cuts for me including, protection behind each wheel well instead of mud flaps, cheaper and I did not like the look of MF on the F Pace and even in the interior where I have a piano black finish in the center console.

Funny - when I first got the F-Pace home, I noticed the plexiglass and it looked like it was some kind of cover that they forgot to remove on delivery, so I was trying to figure out how to get it off. Until I realized it was probably supposed to stay there :D
