I understand that they send updates out in batches to avoid disasters to the whole fleet.
My point is that for me, 19B was installed as the first SOTA update and was informed that every update thereafter would be automatic, over the air and no dealer intervention required.
However, with limited scheduling and delays in mind, I never received another update, of which there have been several.
So at some point I should have received an update. 19B was awhile ago.
The service advisors Topix for my vehicle showed 19B installed, SOTA switched on (green toggle) and 20B1 available.
Clicking update sent the download immediately.
It's not a big deal. I got the update. It's just not working the way they say it does.
I still love the car. JLR, not so much.
20B just came through for me (MY2017). I did not prompt the dealer for this but they did get me to 19C from the pre-OTA software update versions back in July and this upgrade took me straight to 20B1 version listed at the top of the thread.
