Has anyone actually used Jaguar Handover Encore? Is it helpful? With my car due in the next couple of weeks I was wondering how useful this could be.

For those that don't know what it is this is from the Jag website:

About Jaguar Handover Encore

Your Jaguar vehicle is fitted with the latest technologies and features. While we strive to ensure that the vehicle delivery process at the retailer adequately covers key technologies and features, we know that retaining all of that information can sometimes be an overwhelming task.
Handover Encore is a complimentary, bespoke experience that provides a one-on-one opportunity to learn about your vehicle’s features and technology. This experience is custom-tailored with your retailer’s Encore Specialist to cover only what you want to know or explore further.

How Jaguar Handover Encore Works

At the point of initial delivery, your retail sales professional will explain the service to you and offer to schedule an appointment. Alternatively, you may contact your retail sales professional post initial delivery and they will be happy to set up and appointment for you at your convenience.
The Jaguar Handover Encore takes place at a convenient location of your choice; it can be your office, home, athletic club, or any other location. Contact your local retailer to schedule your own personalized handover encore today.

Our SG mentioned then during delivery in January as he was giving us the vehicle overview. I think it's a great service for those that might need a little extra time getting used to all of the features in the F-Pace. We haven't taken advantage of this as I just spent time in the driver's seat pushing buttons and getting help from this forum.

I used it and recommend it. Made an appointment for the day after pickup. Spent over an hour and it was definitely worth doing. The young lady was quite knowledgeable. She went over every system and switch and suggested changes to the default settings. I had downloaded a copy of the owners manual and read it prior to picking up the car and this helped considerably, being familiar with many of the systems. I've had the car about 3 months and it's taken about that long to fully understand and use all the electronics to their fullest.

In what ways does this Encore program differ from what they might ordinarily offer?

I think primarily just that it gives you a few days/weeks to live with the F-Pace and see what features you have questions about. Seems that would possibly make it a little more helpful. Then, they come to you so you don't have to make a trip to the dealership. I sawthis on the Jaguar website too and definitely plan to take advantage of it.

I'm also glad to see from the OP that I'm not the only who culls through each and every page, link and footnote of the Jag site. :)

When making arrangements to pick up my FP I asked the SA if there would be someone to go over all of the car features, similar to the BMW 'Genius" program. He told me that would be him. He went over every feature and setting, made sure the 3G was working, set up the In Control app and made sure it worked, etc. When I was satisfied he said to stop by any time in the future if I want to go over anything on the car. I took this to be my dealer's version of the Jaguar Encore program.

so, i received this offer to come out and go over the vehicle just last week, which marked the 6-month ownership date nearly to the day. I have not taken them up on it, but might, but if so, in conjunction with a dealership visit to go over several warranty issues.

You have to do something while waiting for it to arrive. Might as well dig.
Absolutely agree! I also find that a daily of viewing of each and every thread in the photos and videos forum helps me get my F-Pace fix and fill the wait time. Except for Trek's "All 32 F-Pace Videos" post, which is on a once a week rotation due to the length. :D

The small dealership I purchased from in Denver had their main Jag sales guy sent to the training so he did the run through with us. I did stop by about 2 weeks after purchase with additional questions and he spent another hour with me, no questions asked. Seems maybe the larger dealerships do this more formally?
