#4: Yes, I gave them the Topix item. They couldn't figure it ot.

#6,7,8: It received the mega update earlier this year. Took them three days to apply it.

#9: I have tried three sim cards all from different carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile and FreedomPop). Same result. Edge connection only. All three work fine in my unlocked cellphone.

If you have the Topix number available for number 4, can you please post? If not, my lazy butt will search for it. I go for service on Monday and am hopeful that they will be able to fix that issue.

It's actually the thing holding me back. That and the horror stories I hear about JLR customer service. Last car was a 911, and choice is a new FPace with driver assist / tech package / comfort & convenience and the v6, or a used macan turbo

I love the FPace but... so many stories online about deformed leather, leaking pano roofs, water in footwells, mismatched panel gaps & rattley innards and JLR not standing behind fixing the car. Porsche were wonderful with my 911 - its not that it didnt have issues. Its that they were fixed first time, every time, without quibble. They'd even come collect the car from my place.

Dont want to be left holding a lemon...

nothing in life is a sure thing. Give it a ride and enjoy the optionality of life. Really, how bad can it be and more than likely not bad at all. And if the lemons to come out, lemon law and exchange is the solution. "i'd rather live a dangerous freedom than a safe and complacent slavery." Cant remember where I heard that.

im sure you would not get a jag with all those problems in 1 car but mabey some of them if you got the 1st model year. we held out for a 2018 & no leaks ,rattles or clunks leather looks perfect. our biggest repair item so far was a usb port that didnt work & undercharged a/c freeon. took 1 visit 1 day to fix. so far everything else is good

Ask around to people in the NJ areas you live in to,see what dealers are good. Most of,the issues are with early models. The newer ones jage them worked out, plus it’s the world car 2017 winner can’t have too many issues with that, plus yoir on a forum with F-Pace owners that really get in there cars and we talk about each little issue. My leather seats where fine, but when there was a bulletin to get new seats and my dealer said yes.. Why not get new white leather seats after one year.

I could have purchased any car. I got this, one and it a lot of fun.

I bought the Base model last year. I added the 20? wheels from the S model. Now have 41,000 Miles. I have not had a single issue. Oil changes, there were some things replaced under recall. I still have another 10,000 Miles to go on the tires and the brakes at least. I am surprised at how well this car just works.
Do you mind me asking what tires you have?

Those were my choices as well and I choose the new F Pace over a 2 year old Macan. Both SUV drove and handle very nice and both are good looking SUV. I choose the F Pace due to the 5 year warranty and free maintenance. I ran some numbers with the Macan, the 3rd and 4th year maintenance were about $5000 and that's not including brakes and tires. I wish this story had a happy ending, but my F Pace has had a number of small issues, 3 rattles and counting, driver door lock that is sticking and a radio that takes 20 seconds to change stations. Other than that, the F Pace drives great but the quality leaves a lot to be desire.

Not sure if I am lucky one but I am quite happy with the reliability of my 2018 F-PACE so far. 6 months, 5k miles, one visit to the dealer to fix the auto start feature (battery issue) and squeaks at the back of the car (panels not welded properly). Service was great, got Land Rover Discovery Sport as a rental (F-PACE feels and drives so much better btw) and do not have major complains since than. Maybe after reading some negative posts I lowered my expectations but today if I had to choose again I would buy F-PACE without hesitation. Of course there are some things I would like to be improved like gas tank size or the ICTP software (mainly faster but some features are designed in a weird way) but these are no issues when I start driving this thing.

Two issues in 5000 miles and you consider yourself lucky?? I guess your expectation from a brand new car is a lot than mine. I have owned many Euro brands the last ten years and perhaps had two problems in ten years.

Yes, lucky because I avoided a lot other problems people reported on this forum. I agree with you that the new car should not have even those small issues but the way the dealer handled the situation gave me confidence that I should not worry about the car at least till the warranty expires (I can live with a Land Rover rental for couple of days). From the other side I would consider you very lucky not having issues with the Euro brands. Some of my close friends had couple Mercedes (lot of issues), VWs (they are getting nervous when I say VW word in their presence) and BMWs which are far from being perfect. I think you can have those kind of examples for every brand. Regardless of the above the fun of driving F-PACE way outshines those couple of small initial issues. Lets see if I change my mind in 3-5 years...

I have been thinking a lot and come to the conclusion that I thoroughly regret purchasing my F-Pace.
I got the car in February (9 month ago) and have about 8k miles on it.
So far the car has been in the shop 2 times for a total of 3 weeks, to fix the GPS system which continued to fail show my position correctly.
Now i just booked another appointment.

Frustrating to me is that the shop would contact the tech HQ and they advised them on the issue.
I shared the experience of someone in this forum who had the same issue and it was a faulty GPS antenna. However my commentary seems to be ignored.

The car also has now developed an intermittent rattle.
The fact that I have to do drop off the car, ask for a loaner every time. Then get a loaner that is clearly 1 to 2 classes below my F-Pace (F-Pace S fully loaded), does not help my frustration.

On that anyone wanting to buy an F-Pace S?

I agree, every brand of car will have some owners with bad experience, its all about the percentage of owners with issue. Mercedes and BMW probably out sell Jaguar 100 to 1 in the US, but I hear more about issues in here than all the years I spend in the Mercedes and BMW forum. My only conclusion from my F Pace experience is that the car was not ready for prime time yet, it could have use another year of engineering. I understand the risk of buying a first year cars but some are worst than others, the F Pace is right up there at the top of the high risk list. If it wasn't for how the F Pace drives, I probably would have took a lost and replace it already.

So far I am really happy with mine ...

Only issue is sometimes the mirrors while it's really cold outside and rainy (They freeze)

other then that it is a really nice SUV not perfect but you know ... my Lexus RX350 2015 had the rear suspension completely replaced ... I think they are not bad for the price you pay
