I have a 2020 svr with 19c and the car says no update is available when I go to the software page and have it check. It was a pain in the butt to get the dealer to do 19c they kept telling me the SOTA was turned on and couldn't explain why I needed to come in to have them do it with a laptop. I really want to see my car work correctly more than get the update.

When they release updates do all cars see the update on the same day?

No. I have yet to try and figure out how they get sent out but not everyone gets it at once. Look at it this way, if there was some sort of error causing the ICTP to crash and everyone downloaded the update, everyone would have a crashed ICTP. I have a MY18 at 19C and it shows "Up to Date" when I check. Time will tell!

I believe the update goes by most resent model year and then goes to oldest.

I also think this S20 update is the same as the last S20 update but with bug fixes, the first S20 update was stopped due to some errors

I also got the update on MY18 today. I went from S20C_20.43.1-618886 that was updated on 11/12/2020 It went to S20C1_20.48.3-635557 but the unusual thing is the updated date still shows as 11/12/2020. I also notice that these updates show the date differently quite often. Sometime they show up as typical US way...month/day/year and other times they show up as day/month/year format. My last update was on November 12 of 2020. This ICTP will be a thorn in JLR's side until the bitter end. Hopefully the new Pivi Pro in the newest vehicles will work out a little better!

JohnnyLightning, Same thing happened to my SVR Last night. I was already on 20C1 and I got an update last night. I didn't take a snap of the original software I was running on before this came down so I can't be sure this isn't a smaller 20C1 maintenance update like what BobatStews noticed. The update I got last night is the same one you guys noted 20C1_20.48.3-635557. My last update was back in November as well I think, so the release I got last night may just be a maintenance update. Never seen that happen before though in almost 5 years of F-Pace ownership.

Just got my first SOTA update that didn’t require dealer intervention.
Went from 20B1 to S20C1_20.48.3-635557. I had given up hope for updates for my 2017, considering the dealer couldn’t upgrade at my annual service in December. 20B1 was working perfectly and didn’t notice any changes with 20C1 so far.

Dang. I got my notification of an update available. I allowed it to download without turning off the car or moving. Then after about 30 minutes the system said the download was installing. Another 30 minutes and the installation may have crashed. It never updated - kind of bummed

Dont be too upset. I didnt even see a difference. Must be a bug fix to something that doesnt bother me.

I did my update over 2 or 3 short trips in one afternoon. After the last start, it showed that it had updated. I don’t think it requires you to just sit there. I have a feeling if it didn’t install properly it will try again.

My dealer just upgraded software in my 2017 (with SSD drive) to 19 C_19.46.4-458817 with WiFi enabled. Is it latest version or should I wait for another update via WiFi ? Do you know any other benefits from WiFi connected to the Internet ? When I connect Jag to the Internet I still see that searching in navi is in offline mode. Is it possible to turn it online ?

That software update is a couple of years behind. It is 3rd Quarter 2019. I got updated to 21A (1st Quarter 2021) a couple of weeks ago. When you have time, go see if your dealer can get you up-to-date.

I just dropped off the F-Pace for its final warranty maintenance. I also brought up the issue about not having volume when using CarPlay/Waze. The SA wasn't familiar with the issue, but said they'd check to see if any patch was available. (I expect there isn't, or I'd have heard about it on the forum). He also mentioned that a major ICTP update is coming out later in the month.

When I asked whether they'd apply the update under warranty (assuming they don't have a secret fix in the meantime), his immediate answer was "no" since the car will be out of warranty by then. So I asked him - does that mean that if my transmission falls out on the way home, it wouldn't be covered by the warranty? Of course it would, he said, you're not out of warranty yet. I said, "But you wouldn't be able to get it fixed before the warranty expires." We'll see what happens after they've worked on the car.
