This cannot be fixed by downloading the latest software covered in Bulletin.

I don't know how many of you out there are experiencing any/or all of these issues , but WE are experiencing ALL of them ! Jaguar did not specify a time-line as to when these issues will be resolved ! I know some people have said that either Jaguar and/or their Dealer have been VERY Accommodating with handling their issues , so I hope we have the same results , but this is going to take more then just a "Thank You , For Your Understanding and Patience" letter from Jaguar to make me Happy ! I'm going to call the "Law Offices of Johnny B. Goode" , and see if we can't get some kinda "Pain & Suffering" reimbursement !!! >:)

We picked up our S on 9/25 and have about 550 miles on it. We have not tried any CDs yet, but we did notice that the ICTP started glitching while playing some music on the USB port. The music continued to play, and I could pause it, but I couldn't get to the queue (list of tracks) or back to the list of all artists. I could also get to the Navigation map, but nowhere else. After stopping and restarting the vehicle, it was all good again. Dealer is aware of it and has said that a "major" software update will be coming in November that should address lots of bug fixes for ICTP.

I totally agree ! Some people on this Forum were saying "Big Update in October" , so that's what I thought I was getting ! Now people are saying November ??? I'm sure there are alot of First Time Jag Buyers , thanks to the F-Pace , who are probably getting a Bad Taste in their mouth (for Jag) , due to this situation ! I am a Patient Person , but how long I can keep my Wife from blowing her gasket , remains to be seen ! :) Jag better hurry up with this one , or there might be HE[[ to pay , trust me I know , I've been married to her for (26) years ! >:)

Let me guess "Nimrod" , 20-ish something ??? "It's been years since I have *NOT* purchased a CD" ??? I'm going to ASSume that Young Nimrod meant to say "It has been years since I *HAVE* purchased a CD" !!! It's alright Young Nimrod , I knew what you meant ! >:)

We have had our F Pace in for service twice since we picked it up (end of August 2016) because of issues with the so called technology package. The blue tooth works sometimes and not others. When it is not working there are no options to add a device or show selected devices. We have been keeping a log on this because it happens frequently and have not been able to see any pattern as to what the issue is. Car companies should do cars and leave the entertainment piece to the pros. My son has a VW GTI with Apple Play and Android Auto and he has not had any issues with it plus he can use google maps!

Here is my take on this. I have had the car since July and the ICTP has been a disaster to say the least. My car has been at the dealer for a total of 10 days thus far, on and off. I am getting tired of this, and the only positive is that it is a great way to keep my mileage low. Here are my issues:

1. - ICTP -
Cuts my bluetooth connection (Iphone 6S) in the middle of a conversation, and hangs up between the phone and the bluetooth connection. Have to hang up the call, and turn the engine off and recycle to get back on and it does it again, and again and again.

While streaming music bluethooth wise, won't recognize the source after already recognizing it and playing music. Then shows no source connected

Freezes in the middle of navigation, talking on phone, switches source to radio randomly. An absolute PITA

Won't react to the touch sensitivity. Have to hold my finger on it and press to get any recognition, and a hazard when driving, a TOTAL HAZARD!

2. - At times when i start up, the ABS not functioning light and symbol come up and won't go off for sometimes 5 minutes, or until a call comes in and it turns off, or until I stop the motor and recycle the system once again. Does this randomly.

3. - Auto High Beams turn off and on like a strobe light setting, with a sensitivity that is ridiculous. It almost flashes going on and off so often.

4. - This week, the ABS malfunction warning (see #2 above) started again, and toggled between this and "Auto High Beam" obstruction warning. NO, there is nothing in front of it, not a EZpass or anything.

5. - When I hold the locking feature on my "keyless" it works maybe 5 out of 100 times at best. I have given up using it due to the frustration, including holding the key next to it to test, moving pockets, etc..... Having to take the key out of my pocket to lock it is unacceptable with a keyless feature. No, it doesn't have moisture, or anything else on it, and has been doing this in 95 degree weather to 45 degree weatcher.

Trust me folks I love this car thus far. However I keep on being told "guesses" by my service guy, and had to tell him politely that I would rather him not guess and put me on with somebody who can answer. Jag service people are trying to get answers out of engineering, and it is slow coming. My car now has aded miles as they are trying to drive it and test for the occurrences which are random, thus the problem. I asked if he saw the auto high beam problem, and he said the roads weren't dark enough. The dude drove the car home, and why he couldn't find a dark road is the most stupid thing I ever heard, and obviously politely challenged this ridiculous response.

Where do I stand now?
1. - I have a loaner, which I have been driving all week, and still have it.
2. - Awaiting Jaguar to get answers to the service tech, who is at a loss for words currently.
3. - Software releases are ridiculous and taking too long, coming to the field in batches, vs. full fixes!!! Come on, this is destroying the F-Pace experience Jaguar and no doubt hurting your brand image with this awesome vehicle.
4. - Getting it right requires solid answers, total software updates and not guessing from inexperienced folks trying to satisfy the customer, but causing more frustration when the answers either a) - Make no sense; b) - Are inaccurate, or are accompanied by c) - WE JUST DON"T KNOW AND ARE AWAITING ANSWERS FROM THE ENGINEERS!!!!

Is this normal for a new model? Certainly there are issues with new models but the purchase experience with the reneging on the trade in for my car, the loss of $3,000.00 due to the deal that I could have walked away from but opted not to since I waited so long for my car, and now the multiple trips to the dealer downloading software over and over and over again that doesn't seem to fix anything (NOTHING HAS CHANGED, not a single thing) since I have been taking the car in for the same things!

Not the experience I have been accustomed to with Jaguar, not the experience that I bargained for, and although a bit more patience left, I am starting to run out of it, and thinking "JAGUAR HAS TO GIVE SOMETHING BACK" in order to keep our confidence in the brand and it's handling of the multitude of unanswered problems to date since acquisition and taking over ownership.

Not a good thing, and the final result is "RELEASE ALL OF THE SOFTWARE FIXES" at "ONCE"....stop this batched release as it is killing us, your customers who paid good money for a great car....but the technology needs to work PERIOD END OF STORY!

Not to get off topic (of course this is) but I give Nimrod at 30 yrs old 36 max.... Lot's of people still buy CD's - I do! Since I'm in the sound business, I have to be ready for someone to give a CD at a moment's notice, which happens all the time. I'd say about 70% of the time I get a CD handed to me to play for whatever reason, the other 30% an iPod.

I do some school "Dance and Drill" events where that's about 95% of the playback medium I get as each school has to hand me some sort of playback medium for their songs. Ripping a CD is easy from the computer, they hand it to me and then they can throw it in the trash when they're done.

If Nimrod hasn't bought a CD in years (uh guessing vinyl either), then I assume he's just downloading music. WHich means you don't care about audio quality or just have some really crappy speakers at home because CD quality versus downloaded music is night and day in tonal quality, especially if you have a top notch CD player (yes cd players are NOT equal). I've had to prove that to some cocky young engineers who really thought that since it's digital there would be no difference. Once I get them to listen to CD versus MP3, if they have any ears at all it's like "wow, I had no idea :("

Most people don't understand that compression techniques get rid a bits that are audible. Just because it's the "least significant" bit doesn't mean that you can't hear it. Hearing the reverb tails off voice and instruments versus not hearing it anymore with MP3s and DAT recordings is the easiest way to hear what's missing. BTDT

Just sayin :nerd:

I am convinced that waiting for a 2018 is the right decision for buying a F-Pace. Jaguar simply does need time to sort out the issues with this new model. Sorry, but it's not acceptable to have problems with something as basic as bluetooth or a CD player in a modern luxury vehicle.

I couldn't agree with you more on this! Or Jaguar should have waited to release the vehicle until 2018 in order to minimize the noise on such a fine vehicle. Catch 22 for them I guess.

I feel your pain but your story is not much different from many others on the forum who express their dissatisfaction. I don't think a letter to JLR will do much other than tell them personally about your situation. When a would bring mine into the dealer I would have a printed list that I give to the Service Manager, Service Writer and Sales Manager. This way there would be no misunderstanding on what my issues were. JLR is aware of all the electronic issues with the car the fact that they are waiting to come out with an all in one fix may make sense to them but I'm sure tries the patience of many owners.

Oh, and BTW Johnny B. Goode retired back in '98.

Hello MKenM ! I think you may be staying up too late at night reading these posts , because now I have to say to you the same thing I have had to say to other people at times , "please re-read my post CAREFULLY" ! If you do , you will clearly see that I never said that I was thinking about or planning to SEND Jaguar a LETTER ! I stated that a "Thank You Letter" FROM Jaguar TO me , would not make me Happy ! This "misread" on your part is really No Big Deal , but I did want to note it ! I would also like you to know that the reason I clicked "Like" on your post , is just because the LAST sentence ! I GREATLY Appreciate it every time YOU show a little bit of Humor in your Posts ! Because , in my "Opinion" it "Humanizes" you a little bit ! Instead of always sounding like a "Computer Generated" Voice coming from the Great Above , always being Straight Forward and Serious (which is appropriate most of the time) !

Now , to get "Back ON Topic" ! I only posted this Thread , to be "informative", so that some People didn't feel like they are alone with their "Issues" , and also so they realize that Jaguar "is" aware of them , and working on it (maybe too slowly for some) !

P.S. I wonder how many of these Young Guys out here don't even know "Johnny B. Goode" , or that "He lived down in Louisiana close to New Orleans , Way back up in the woods among the evergreens" ??? :)

Thanks deafsoundguy ! I was beginning to think I might be the only one here who still uses CD's ! The Sound System in our Family Room , is from Circuit City (maybe all closed by now) back in 1998 , it is a Sony with a Electronic Window in the front that opens up and holds *25* CD's in it ! I'm going to assume that is pretty rare ! The Sound is Awesome , as you say ! Now , if you really want some "MOOD Maker" Sounds , and I am sure you will agree , we have a 1973 Wurlitzer Juke Box in our Gameroom , with I believe *100* New "Oldies 45's" in it ! Let me tell you , turn the lights down low , and let the Juke Box Glow , and that Sound will have Her melting in your arms ! I'm sure you have "Been There , Done That" ! :)

It's funny that on my laptop it shows that my post was put up at 3:47 AM I can assure you I was not awake at that time, more like 12:47 and I did make sure that I am in the Eastern time zone. In any case you are right I guess I can't tell the difference between To and From at least at that hour of the day. BTW Johnny was a dear friend of mine.

I have initially thought my problems with the CD player and ripping to the HD were due to me not understanding what to do. However, I took my F Pace into my dealer on 18th May 2017 and I understand that the technical dept. at Jaguar advised replacement of the "leads". ON 25th May I collected it and it appeared to have corrected the problem of ejecting of disc. However, this did not continue to work and I had by then discovered the ripping problems and that in settings it referred to the tracks that had been downloaded onto the hard drive by long reference numbers instead of the name of the tract, therefore making the delete function useless. I took my F Pace back on 23rd June and was advised that the CD may need to be replaced. I took it in to my dealer on the 13th July 2017 and left it until the 24th July 2017 as my dealer had to get permission from Jaguar technical services to replace the CD Player. This they did but it was not successful and they contacted Jaguar technical services who informed them that a software upgrade was required. They could not give me a date when this was to be done and hopefully my problems resolved.
It is now 31st August and I have heard nothing.

Has anyone had any success at getting these problems resolved???
