Hi Everyone!

Currently looking for a replacement car for my Volvo C30 R Design and an Alfa Romeo 4C.

The Alfa was my fun car, but i barely have time to drive it these days, so i'm currently looking to sell both of them, and get myself in to an F-Pace S.

Was recently given an F Pace S in IRR, with two tone black/red seats, and loaded to an MSRP of 75K as a demo, and was absolutely blown away by how it drives. The car had about 9K Miles on it as a demo, and I was offered a fair deal on it, but the color was not gonna fly with the better half.

Hence we are now looking at an Ammo Grey F Pace S on Jet, with the Tech, and Driver Assistance + Heads Up Display. Still figuring out the numbers. But i think we are close.

That said, i am absolutely astonished with this car. Our other family hauler is a 16" Range Rover Sport SVR, and this thing is so much more nimble. It feels so so much lighter, and eager, to which i can best describe as a "BMW 3 Series M Sport" feel. The only thing lacking imo, is the quality of the seats/leather (kinda grainy).

Nonetheless, i am extremely grateful for this forum, as it has been an awesome tool in picking out my options, and getting real feedback on the needs and wants for an F Pace.

Looking forward to posting a pic of our new F-Pace, but in the meanwhile, here is the SVR, and the two cars getting sold.

LOL!!! Not sure that info will fly with his better half, but I agree!! At least on the exterior color.

Nice stable you have there.

I'm also looking in the Boston area but want a less equipped S. Still narrowing it down between a new V90 R-Design T6 or the Jag. I'm coming from a loaded and modified 2012 XC70 T6 with Polestar, and I want something exciting to drive, so it's great to hear your feedback on the F-Pace. I'll trying to do the first test drive today.

Guys, look at the color of the cars in his stable above. Neutral "whisper" tones... IRR "screams", I had enough trouble going with my Caesium Blue. IRR is a great color though AmmoJag. Enjoy the new ride when it shows up. That SVR RR Sport is what I was hoping to get when I first started looking for a new ride. I was looking for a used one since I couldn't convince myself to spend the money a new one requires. However, once I drove the F-Pace, I found my sporty SUV. Enjoy both of your hot SUVS. It's a nice stable now, will be even better moving forward.

Welcome! That was the config I was looking for as well; Ammo, Tech and DA packages with HUD. Ended up with Ammo/Jet, DA, Tech, Comfort and HUD and I couldn't be happier with it. Post pics when it arrives, looking forward to seeing another Ammo.

LOL. I know! but in all honesty, i myself ain't so into red cars. the volvo which is my daily, is actually red underneath that grey wrap. I got it used from a fellow track day enthusiast.

So funnily enough, my other contender was a V60 Polestar from Boston Village Volvo. But the jag just looks SO much better. Let me know how you car hunt goes. I have been shopping with the same Land rover/jag dealer for a couple of years, and they currently have a couple of good looking F Paces on their lot.

I wouldn't describe the SVR as sporty. Its definitely fast in a straight line. Its tuned by Eurocharged to about 650HP at Crank and keeps up with my buddies tuned C63 AMG Black Series. But the car is really quite dead in the corners. It grips, but you dont feel much through the steering wheel. The F pace on the other hand, feels ALOT like a hydraulic assisted BMW 3 Series.

Thanks! Please post pics of yours when you get a chance! There arent many Ammo's in the flesh.

Ammo, the V60 Polestar is a great car, but too tight on the inside for my and my family. The chassis and 3.0L T6 engine were great (as you probably know), but I'm not into that Drive-E 4 cyl nonsense at all. That's why the V90 is not as appealing to me either. That C30 is pretty sweet, though. Did you take it Swedish Car Day last year, by any chance?

I test drove an S and R-Sport F-Pace today, and I'm pretty sure I made up my mind on which direction I'm going. And there are definitely quite a few choices on the dealer lots in this area.

Tony, my contact there, Miki (sales manager), remembers you and is hoping to earn your business. I have been communicating with him about having PPF installed at the dealer before delivery.

Tell us some details about exterior/interior color(s) you prefer and what is on the lot you are considering.

P.S. If you are a Red Sox/baseball fan, talk baseball with Miki....that is his sport!

I wonder if he is confusing me with all the other drooling people looking at F-Paces there. I spoke with James (internet dude) and then Sonny yesterday. Sonny ran through the inventory they have and are expecting in the next month or so.

I'm actually not picky on color, as I like most of them except for the Quartzite or Odyssey Red, don't even mind the BRG if the vehicle is set up right. In an S, I'm really only looking for the Tech package, Comfort Package, and Roof Rails. 22" don't put me off any more after this test drive and the Activity Key would be really cool to have, but that's pretty much all I want. I have a lot of the similar driver aids and electrical nannies on my Volvo and I never use them, so they would be wasted on me (and my bank account). If it had to be an R-Sport (due to inventory), all of the above plus the Adaptive Dynamics would have to be on it.

My guess is, as the sales manager, he knows what's going on with all the serious prospects who come in. So, while not the guy you dealt with, he knew of your visit. Or, there was another Anthony there. I agree about many colors looking nice, but for this much money, I want my numero uno choice. If you want PPF installed there, it seems like the company/guy they use is extremely good. I did my research.

I get where your coming from now. They do have a "team approach" there. The internet guy hooked me up with the "product specialist" and he likely went back to the sales manager to let him know where the visit ended up. All in all, it was a great experience in a dealership...which are hard to come by.

Thanks! I actually just picked up the car! Not too many pics for now, but still needs to get prep'd and wrapped. Dealer was not allowed to clean it.

Hey Dakar, yeah i get that, its definitely a lot smaller than the F-Pace, but it was a lot of car for the money. Especially the Ohlin's adjustable coilovers, and 6Pot Brembos.

Beautiful F-Pace, Ammo!! I see you were at Norwood ;) Best of luck with it.

I hope to be posting a similar picture to this (sans the snow) in a few months! I should try to match the angle up exactly. Was that another Volvo owner parked next to you looking to get into Jag, like us?

And you're right about the V60 being a lot of performance for the money. It definitely lived up to the hype. Imagine if it came with a true manual transmission?!
