Is there a wind advantage or cooling function for the overhang gap between the headlight and hood?

Thanks for the heads-up.

Popped the hood and briefly looked. There is no ducting for routing incoming air. It appears to be purely cosmetic as you mentioned. The headlight has a 90 degree rail on the top, which I assume is to catch and funnel rain.

Just like Chuck Berry sang, "The rainwater goin' underneath my hood, I knew it was doin' my motor good. The heat cooled down, the motor cooled down, and that's when I heard that highway sound"! 😎

Oh boy, not good. It does latch on both sides. Kind of helps if you guys let if fall the last 2 feet, tends to latch every time then.
