I had my SRT HC stolen 5 weeks ago and taking delivery of a 2020 SVR in 2 weeks. Dodge Anti-Theft technology is a joke, so I was curious if Jaguars technology is better or should I look at aftermarket protection.

Jaguar Remote app connectivity is OK but if they cut your antenna cable...
First question is, can they steal a Jaguar without a key fob? No idea, but it doesn't seem likely. The British are pretty serious about their immobilizers.
Second question is, can you put an aftermarket system in a Jaguar. If you look at Compustar's website, the answer is NO.

On the Dodge they broke the side back glass and slithered into the back. Since the car has no interior motion abilities, the alarm system never activated even though the vehicle is armed. Criminal can move around worry free, and create a clone key and drive off in less than 5m.
Does Jaguar have interior motion alarm activation once armed? So if interior movement is triggered without doors and hatchback opening the alarm sounds?

All Dodge SRT HC models can be stolen using cables Autel tablet.

Just brutal! So sorry to hear that it was stolen!

Any Hellcat vehicle is stolen with ease. Honda CRVs as well. Those are even easier, apparently! The only thing you can do is install a tracker unit on it like TAG and an Igla Pin Code system. I had this on my Trackhawk but I ended up selling it for 20K more than I paid. It was giving me constant problems at only 36000kms and I had just about had it. Truly not a well built vehicle or that reliable.

The SVR though, I love it so much more. Just a way better all around vehicle and so nicely built.
I installed the TAG system in mine for tracking. It is impossible to defeat because of the number of sensors they place in the vehicle in secret spots. A friend had his Range Rover stolen about 2 years back and with that system installed, they recovered it in less than 2 hours. There is a small TAG logo they etch on the side windows (my friend chose NOT to do this...idiot!) and 99% of the time, that is a deterrent enough because they know they can't defeat that system. My insurance company actually was the one that offered this to me when I got the Jag and paid for the install. They are putting it on newer and more pricey cars as my agent told me.

A couple of weeks back I tried to open my hatch at the rear without disarming the car and the alarm went off. So...I would assume they have that kind of detection built in?
