Hmm, was there a TSB or SSM or some kind of reference number? I might try asking the dealership for this questionnaire
If there is I don’t know what it is, I just told them my brakes were screaming on and off and when I went in they asked me to complete questionnaire. I know of of another Denver forum member who had same problem, same resolution.

hi guys
New to the club too.
FPace 35i 3 years old / 40K km on odo, just serviced; they can’t do much, “it will go away with time”.
Ok, I will survive but my Jag sounds like an old junk car in need of new brakes. I have had that for the past 12 months.

Found this attached bulletin through some googling. Is this the questionnaire they had you address? If so, curious to know what "correct" responses you provided in order for them to say "okay, we'll cover it".

I vaguely remember doing a questionnaire with my service advisor, I don’t think it was quite this detailed and I know we didn’t do video or sound file.

i mentioned this in another thread I believe.
I had loud brakes. Dealer "de-glazed" the pads. Noise came back as I left the dealership. They then told me im SOL, gotta change the pads. I changed the pads and noise free ever since. I have 40k on my car and the brakes were basically brand new. The rears were above half life, but the fronts were a hair under the brand new pads.

Hey, I'm having almost the exact same experience with my 2017 S. I get noise when light breaking. Had the dealer look at it, performed the same "de-glaze" and "bedded" the breaks. Issue is still present.

What did you get replaced, did you get just the pads done or the pads and rotors?

It sounds like at low speeds and light braking, the light pressure on the pads with the calipers results in them chattering. When more firm braking is applied, the caliper is gripping the pad tighter and the chattering stops.

I believe the brakes are in some cases not being installed with the sticky gel that is meant to provide sound dampening between the pads and calipers.

So, i'm wondering if they remembered to use the gel when you got yours replaced. I might have to do the same.

If you don't mind me asking, what did it cost you?

Just need to replace the pads. Of course, replace the rotors if they need to be changed. My new pads have squeaked, but maybe about 3 times. Regardless, its 99.9% gone with new pads. I dont remember the brand of pads I bought at this time. The dealer wanted about $1,000 - $1,200 to change just the pads. The pads themselves cost me about $120? I had to buy a few new torx bits to get the brakes off which were about $7 on amazon and a couple different socket extensions $30?
