good question. Also, why aren't fog lights standard?
Base, Premium and Prestige don't have them; the other trim levels do.

It is also market dependent. Some countries have fog lights as standard because it is required by law. In NA, no law governs this so it is an option by trip level.

Not yet anyway. Give them time.
Does anyone have an update on adding the fog lights? I have a prestige and believe they would look real cool but would like that factory look.

Might be a good question to ask your dealer.
It look like there is a place for the lights the question becomes how do you open the area where the light shoud be located. It may be a blank that just covers the space then the other questions is whether there is a wiring harness in place. Even if both are true the effort and cost might not make it a practical option to install yourself.
Also, what about the switch to turn them on. Where is the factory switch located?

On the left stalk. Twist forward to toggle front fog lights; twist backward to toggle rear fog lights.

This would also require a new stalk then. Starting to get really expensive for something that is more for looks than actual function. But seriously, those of you who have them how much do you actually use them and just how much of a difference do they make?
Haven't used mine yet, but haven't had any fog either :) Did try them to make sure they worked though.
It's been nine months since a post was added here. Has anybody put fogs on Prestige with LED headlights? If so, did it make a difference? If you have, was it a DIY or did you have installed? What product did you use? How and where is it switched?

I don't want to do it, just for looks, though looks are good, I also want useful lights. I drive at night often on long stretches of rural interstate and my LED high beams are great, just wondering about adding fogs and if they would be of benefit. I saw @theRAMSTA put an LED bar behind the center grill, but don't know how it is switched.

Thanks for any updates by any who have done it.

I bought a pair from the UK so i plan to install it in the next couple of weeks. Since I don't want to replace the stalk i'm gonna piggyback of the LEDs.

Make sure that it does not change the resistance that the car needs to see for the LED's. It might throw a code.

To answer your question if they make a difference using the scenario you provided the answer is no. Sitting in the vehicle when it's completely dark out with low beams on, switching on the fog lights gives more light output in the first 2-4 feet from the vehicle. The increased output is maybe 10% more. They would be of little benefit driving down back roads at night to spot animals or issues with the road.

Yes they seems to be pretty picky I would go with a relay direct from the battery ...

Then that would require extra wiring and a switch and of course if you left the switch on the lights would never turn off and the battery would drain.

You can still get your power signal from the headlights or somewhere in the fuse box ... but yes extra wiring ...
Anyone ever successfully do this? I was driving into work yesterday morning and ran into thick fog at the top of the pass I go over, visibility was maybe 4 feet, and I was cursing my lack of front fog lights the entire time. Was basically crawling along using the road lines as guides, all the while my headlights were brightly illuminating the wall of white in front of me.
