It goes away after a few hours. If you are going to have the seats down for a while you might want to position the buckle out of the way by pushing it into the bottom. I can do that with mine. Over time I agree this would be a problem as it would not be good for the leather.

The rear buckles on my 2020 don't tuck or swivel any lower than shown in the OP's photo (and make the same indentation in the leather if the seats are folded down). How do you push it further? Mine seems to bottom out and won't go further.

I just been keeping a small microfibre cloth and put it over the seat buckle before I fold them down. Seems to work fine for me as I have no indent from having the seats down.

But yeah....it is an annoying thing to have to worry about.

Unfortunately, it took several days for my F-Pace.

I'm 100% wrong guys sorry. I must have been remembering my wife's Honda Pilot or Audi Q7 with respect to pushing those buckles into the seat. I went out and tried it with my 21 after you guys challenged me and lo and behold you are correct, it's not doable. I get the same impressions on my seats on the passenger side, but I do have an SVR and I ended up upgrading the leather to whatever the upgrade is and I do think the letter is thicker, so those indents aren't as bad as your's. The driver side one doesn't really show as the middle seat belt normally falls where the buckle is when dropping the seats. Doing what PBGas suggested is probably the best option if you leave them down for a while.
