Hey guys, so basically I had taken my vehicle to my local mechanic for a simple check up, after looking at the vehicle he immediately noticed my engine is shaking and stated one of my cylinders is misfiring. He then processed to run a diagnosis with his system on my vehicle, many codes appeared on the vehicle including the misfires. The issue I’m having is I’ve deleted the resonator, and swapped out my muffler, he stated he believes if I take my vehicle to my dealer they will for sure try to flip the issue onto me. He stated these issues don’t seem to be caused by the mods I’ve done. My vehicle is still under warranty, and I’ve done some research about misfires and my vehicle had been experiencing symptoms of misfires before I changed anything. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts, ideas, or recommendations?

Get it back to stock...otherwise you're screwed with the dealership as they will deny warranty service.

Even though you might have the "Moss Magnuson Act" on your side, it's an up hill battle.

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act makes it illegal for companies to void your warranty or deny coverage under the warranty simply because you used an aftermarket or recycled part. The manufacturer or dealer can, however, require consumers to use select parts if those parts are provided to consumers free of charge under the warranty.

My thoughts exactly but the issue with that (which is totally my fault) the after market parts were not bolt on or bolt off the resonator was cut off along with the muffler and these after market parts were connected with welds. I have all OEM parts, but now am unsure rather to just get the parts welded back or purchase new stock parts and attempt to connect as from factory. If the cut off parts are welded back the dealer may notice and then again could still deny warranty service. Such a sticky situation.

Hope you didn’t mess with the oxygen sensors. That’s the first that comes to mind.

I don’t see how that could cause a timing issue. One is not relates to the other. Plus theses cars have computer controlled timing to compensate for different situations.

When I Googled resonator delete, said it could possibly throw codes for the catalytic converter sensing low back pressure. No personal knowledge, just internet chatter.

Hey guys, I just wanted to update everyone and thank you all for your thoughts. After reading @Red_rooster9‘s comment on how there was no way this issue could have been caused by the mods. I had decided to take a risk by taking in the vehicle with the mods on it. I informed them on the issues I was having and after diagnosing the vehicle they fixed the problems under warranty.
