Currently have a 2014 cayenne turbo s. Itching for something else. Anyone else made a similar switch?
I have a question on the engine. Am I the only one that thinks the the top of the engine looks unfinished? Is there an engine cover that can be purchased? Seems like most Marques like to have their name prominently displayed.

I had a 2015 jeep srt I loved that but the quality of the trim was awful.
I also own a 2018 m4 convertible which is great in the warmer weather.
The svr knocks spots off them both imo no problems good quality never gone back in for anything I’m 7 months in with no issues,
The sound is the best I’ve heard on a suv end of .
I don’t mind the engine you don’t see it I think it looks ok I’m sure they leave it open as there’s no room to put a cover and helps with cooling

I came from another F-Pace, but I've owned Infinitis, Acuras, Hondas, Audis and I also agree I'm thrilled with the SVR. I posted in other threads it's been rocks solid and while I had some issues with my original 2017 F-Pace, I still bought another one. The way it drives and the grunt with the SVR engine is pretty awesome. As for the top of the engine, yes the supercharger looks unfinished, but I can't see it when I'm romping on the pedal in the driver seat!

The only place you can see the engine cover is when you select it to build at the Jaguar site. It is MIA from then on. I am guessing it was a heat or space issue, either it made the engine too hot or just wouldn't fit under the hood. Regardless I agree with you it looks like someone forgot to put it on at the factory...

My last car was a 2014 base cayenne. There is a big difference between the 2 cars. The porsche build quality is MUCH better. The jag quality is more similar to a lincoln MKX that I had before the Porsche. The cayenne with steel springs might have actually driven better than the 100k jag. The Jag is 100k and the Porsche turbo s is 200k. Something had to give. The jag purchase experience was the WORST car buying experience I have ever had. I got close to buying 3 cars before the one that I bought. They all tried every dirty finance trick I had ever heard of. I will NEVER walk into a Jag showroom again. The good part of the jag it makes great noises when you step on it. There is a way to kill the auto start/stop feature, you can kill the stupid seat belt minder, the jag finance rate is about 0.5 instead of 5% for Porsche or Audi, the jag maintenance is included. Porsche and audi both charge 500 bucks every 18 months to keep the center screen fully functional. The Jag doesn't. The cellular data was exactly $200 for a year, no tax. The Jag is a little bouncy even in dynamic compared to my steel spring cayenne. Initially, I didn't like the way the jag hit little bumps in a turn on the highway. The car arrived with the tire pressure monitor set on full load. I set it to partial and dropped the tire pressure. It drives much better. I do like the SVR and I am glad I bought it. My second choice was an Audi RS Q8 (they still have not put out a price sheet). PM me if there is something else you want to know.

Oh, Yeah. I thought of something else. Android auto works with a wire. I dont think there is a way to make it work over wifi. It works pretty well too. The wifi... bit of a PITA. I bought an escort 360c to work with the wifi. It doesnt. Flat out. It Doesn't work. Anything you hope the 360c will do with wifi, it will not. It does over my phone as a hotspot. But if you involve the Jag.... Nope. I have tried all the things you might find online. I really thing that is the fault of the people at escort. The Jag password is not selectable and is a PITA. Uper, lower, numbers that kinda thing. All of the Volkswagen cars do not have android. The Jag does do the apple one too, but I am not apple friendly.
