That looks like it might be really really dirty. And the picture appears to have been taken with a potato.
However, I initially wanted british racing green with the brogue interior, but my salesman talked me out of it, said none of his longtime Jag customers had gone with that color since there is nothing traditional about the Fpace. I went with black, kind of wish I had gone with the dark grey but you can't go wrong with black IMO.
I agree with your salesperson. I am not a traditional Jag buyer and would never have thought about the brand until the F Pace came along. I am exactly the kind of customer that Jag is hoping will buy the F Pace. We are referred to as crossover customers who are willing to try something new. How appropriate for a CUV.
For instance I stayed with the Mesh Aluminium Trim for the S Model because I do not like wood trim on a sports car which is what I perceive the F Pace to be, a very practical sports car or alternatively a CUV with sports car DNA. To me the vehicle says modern, advanced, fast and sleek. It is not classic Jaguar and I do not want classic Jaguar.
Now that I was pulled in to a Jag dealership and will get mine in July, assuming I like the ride and hope for reliability, if I was considering a mid size/full size second vehicle I would consider the XK. I like its distinctive and modern style where before I would have headed straight to a BMW dealer. That is exactly what Jag is hoping for as it goes from traditional to modern and cutting edge.
Interesting enough one vehicle that I did not like is the new XE. The back seat is very cramped as is the ingress and egress from the back. Maybe a great drive and styling exercise but not practical.
