It has to be said, the previous activity key was awesome, whereas this new battery reliant key is utterly rubbish.

Anyhow, now ive got that out of my system, i need a replacement charging cable for this rubbish designed key. Any suggestions? as i can only find 2 or 4 pin charging cables. Unfortunatly i use the key when i go swimming in the lakes and see. so i need this key to work reliably.

I told my dealer I was having trouble with mine, and he said “We think these things are junk and don’t recommend using them”
That was enough for me, threw it in a drawer and haven’t looked at it since…..

I purchased a new charger for the key so that is an alternative. The JLR Dealer should have it. Can't remember how much I paid. I use this key all the time when I ride my bike and I like that I can leave the fob behind compared to the old key. With that said. The screen is crap, doesn't stay lit long enough, the interface is crap, the overall design is crap, and yes I agree the charger design is crap.
