2018 F-Pace S, just over 55K, current issue having is that after I shut the motor off, within a few seconds, get a rather loud pop from the motor. Sounds like its coming from somewhere on top of the motor or in the motor and also sounds like something is depressurizing. There is no warnings on the engine when driving or while on or off. There is no engine lag while driving. It has only been doing it for about a month. HELP!

well.... a Champaign cork pop after shut down is normal for an SVR and I THINK it is a super charger thing, so an S might do it too. Is there any chance it has been doing it all along and you never noticed? My SVR does it maybe 3 seconds after I get out of the car and has since the day I drove it home.

My SVR has never done that before

Last bit of unburnt fuel not being forced out of the exhaust by pressure - either back pressure from the rear, or not enough from the front, and since it only happens at shutdown, I’d go w/ the latter. Could be timing or spark related. Check your intake air filter also.

Could be the grill vents closing, my2017 does that as well. I complained to the SA about it and he said that is normal. 🤷‍♂️
There is a TSB on the 2018-2019 E-Pace that sounds similar to this situation. Maybe there’s one for the F-Pace.
SITUATION:
A 'clunk' noise may be evident from the front of the vehicle when the engine is switched OFF.
CAUSE:
This may be caused by distortion of the cooling module lower air duct edge, resulting in an interference condition with the active grille.
