I bought a 21 SVR from the showroom, but added the activity key as an after option last July. They still say they are on back order. Did they just forget about me, or is this still an issue?
I had a 1st edition with the activity key and loved it! Why, why change to a digital key fob now? Defeats the whole purpose!
any feedback on the new ones?

I would follow up with the dealership. I ordered a new activity key back in February when I lost my original one that came with my 21. And it was at the dealership about 3 to 4 weeks later.

On a separate note, did you have the activity key with your 2017? Do you like this one better? My opinion, without using new one, is it was stupid putting electronics on it.

Yes I did have the original Activity key with my 2017. I kind of agree that the design and operations of the new key is not up to par overall, especially how long the screen stays lit which is horrible and way to short. I would be happier to get access from my Apple Watch or phone and not have to use the key at all, but Jag isn't there yet. I do use it, but only because it's a light fob and gets me keyless access to the car when it's on me either in my pocket or on the wrist. I do have a different band on the watch though that makes it a little easier to wear. I liked the older key in that is was super small and could easily go in water. The new key is more functional but that comes with the other limitations.
