$1245 for 7th year of CPO

Is that worth it? Seems like a no brainer. Anybody else purchase the extra year or just stick with the 6yr 100k ? (The 7th year canít go over the 100k threshold btw).

Never received that option. It was all or nothing, that is, 3 yrs, 36,000 miles for a "bargain" price of $7,000. I demured.

As GRVR has mentioned . . . it is only 1 Starbucks a day. Sounds reasonable to me.

depends how long you're going to keep it, and what you expect might go wrong in that year that wouldn't go wrong in the first 6. I'd probably pass, but I'd also very likely sell before the 6th year was up. I've been averaging about 5 years per car before I need something newer and shinier. I tried to stretch it with my previous car a 2011 audi s5 owned late 2010 to early 2018, and that thing was a money pit after the pre-paid maintenance ran out.

Personally, I don't think it matters how long you are going to keep the car - jaguar CPO stays with the car, so it will increase resale value in my opinion. For me it's down to whether you will hit 100k in 6 years or not .... I drive about 18-20k/year; I bought a 1 year old so the cpo was another 5 years ... at which point I estimate I'll have 100k on the clock, so no need for the extra year. However, if you think you will not use up the miles, I think the taking the warranty out to 7 years from in-service for $1200 is a no brainer.
