I Screwed Up!

It finally happened. I totally screwed up! D!@#$%^! I curbed my Double Helix and Pirelli. I can't believe it! I wasn't paying attention around a sharp turn and curbed it. A little sliver of Pirelli is dangling off the sidewall, right rear. And the Double Helix is scraped about 1.5 to 2 inches on the edge. What do I do now?

You might be able to take it to the repair shop and have them refinish the wheel. If it is too severe, then it's time for a new set of wheels

bound to happen sooner or later. there's shops that handle curb rash repair, but unless you are absolutely sure you won't curb it again, I wouldn't invest in trying to fix it. if it is just the silver alloy showing, i'd try to touch it up myself - check with dealer to see if they have touch up paint for your grey double helix.

I did not opt for the 22" wheels for this very reason. I have 20" and they ride better anyway.

Good idea. I'll check with them on the touch-up paint. But what about my tire? I've been driving with it. there hasn't been any loss of pressure. I'm surprised it didn't pop.

do you have pics trek? i'm sure your tire is fine, but would be nice if you had pics to show the scrape/scratch.

A really good wheel repair specialist should be able to repair the wheel for around 150-repainted and all. As far as the tire its just the side wall. no problems
