Anyone else think it's weird that the gas cap cover doesn't lock ?

There's a place for a locking mechanism, so I'm guessing the F-Pace follows the same pattern as the F-Type - locks in Europe, but not the US.

Why would you need it to lock?

Or just buy a locking one for $10 from Supercheap/Repco/whatever you have that's equal if you're that concerned....

Clearly not, but I don't get why you would need it to lock, especially as they have anti-siphon devices in the filler tubes and the path that the fuel takes it's almost impossible to siphon.

I thought it locked with the doors. Hmm, I guess I just assumed, my Audi does it and it's fairly commonplace.

Ok I get that it may be weird having a non locking cover, but I fail to see how it is dangerous in any way, can you please elaborate on how it would be dangerous? It's just a fuel cap cover...

Still wondering how there would be danger in this....after all, the fuel cap would still retain fuel in the tank, the fuel cap cover I don't see how that would make any danger....
